THE HONEY BADGER GIVES A SH!!T ABOUT BARBEQUE SAUCE

If you aren't privy to the Viral video on YouTube about honey badgers, you will still live a full life, however, you may not find this post nearly as interesting or funny if you have never seen it. (So check it out. Once is all you need.) The really funny, interesting, adorable and cool tale is about three young and strapping wind turbine engineers (nope, strapping and engineer don’t usually go together) ...two Brits and one Americano, who decide to go on Kickstarter to raise $40,000 buckaroos to produce Honey Badger bbq sauce and raised just short of $50K. DONT FEAR THE FAVA!

There are about two handfuls of culinary experiences that have changed my life like the first time I ate foie gras or the first time I had a pizza with a farm egg on top. The first time I ate fresh fava beans was in Alicante Spain in 2005, before that I was only aware of them via Hannibal Lecter. Back to Spain. NOW I’M PISSED, but mostly sad.

When I wrote about my visit to the Sonoma Foie Gras farm, I had not yet gotten to know the Gonzalez family very well. They seemed nice enough, like many families who move to the US and do more than just make a living, but build a legacy of survival and entrepreneurship for their children. I won't lie to you and tell you that the Gonzalez sisters, Maria and Helena weren't the absolute sweetest people that I met at the first foie gras meeting at Incanto last year. They were delightful, charming and sincere, despite the fact that of everyone [...]
