SQUASH MY INSPIRATION!

Ok, perhaps a bit of a cheesy title, but how else am I going to get you to read your veggies? I didn't grow up with squash, well, other than overcooked zuchini. I vaguely remember eating spaghetti squash about 10 years ago, but it wasn't until the last 5 years that I discovered how incredibly wonderful different varieties of squash really are. Butternut squash was probably the first to come on the scene with such tasty dishes as butternut squash ravioli with brown butter sage sauce and butternut squash purees and soups. I remember when main stream America was obsessed [...]

FOODIES NEED INSPIRATION TOO

Surprisingly enough, I am a not a fan of cookbooks*. I am also not really a fan of food magazines. I have a few wonderful cookbooks that I have had short and passionate affairs with, but they never become long term. I have subscriptions to three food magazines, yet I haven't opened one up in months. All they do is occupy space on my coffee table and make me feel guilty for not opening them up. I want to tell you about my favorite part of the tour and that was when all of us tour goers were [...]

KILLER 20 MINUTE TOMATO PAN SAUCE

Truth be told... the week was ending and there was no new and fabulous post in sight. Sometimes I write things in advance, but many times, I donut. So I am basically telling ya what I had for dinner tonight. Anyhoo, I have taught this recipe six times to my Cooking Matters classes and each time, everyone raves about how srcum-dilly-umptious and simple it truly is. What is fabulous about this recipe is that you don't need much on hand to pull it off and you can use it with pasta, on top of a protein like fish or chicken [...]

THE HONEY BADGER GIVES A SH!!T ABOUT BARBEQUE SAUCE

If you aren't privy to the Viral video on YouTube about honey badgers, you will still live a full life, however, you may not find this post nearly as interesting or funny if you have never seen it. (So check it out. Once is all you need.) The really funny, interesting, adorable and cool tale is about three young and strapping wind turbine engineers (nope, strapping and engineer don’t usually go together) ...two Brits and one Americano, who decide to go on Kickstarter to raise $40,000 buckaroos to produce Honey Badger bbq sauce and raised just short of $50K. (Scroll [...]
