I was never a fan of Man Vs Food, but in this episode I am woman vs Shishito Peppers. Wouldn’t you like to know who wins?
In this video, I put my tongue on the line to show you just how precarious eating these peppers can be.
Shishito peppers from Japan or Padrón peppers from Spain are the Russian roulette of peppers because you never know when you are going to get a spicy one. These peppers are so easy to prepare, so delicious and so fun to eat because you just never know. The traditional preparation of Padrón peppers from Spain is to blister them in some olive oil and serve immediately with coars sea salt. I find that Padrón peppers and Shishito peppers are interchangeable. There is some pepper expert out there flipping me off.
